ZONGULDAK - A basic civil court in the northern city of Zonguldak continued hearing a lawsuit filed by a stuttering person against the Turkish Telecommunication Agency (Turk Telekom) to get a discount on his telephone bills.

Plaintiff Hasan Yasar submitted a report proving that he was talking 2.8 times slower than the other people.

''The hearings get longer continuously since I made my own defense. I expect the court to finalize may lawsuit as soon as possible,'' he said.

Basar filed a lawsuit against the Turkish Telecommunication Agency last year and requested a discount to be made on his telephone bills. He also requested a compensation of nearly 31 thousand USD claiming that his legal rights were ignored.

In Sweden, there is no discount on telephone bills yet but a person who stutter can receive two free text-telephones, one for himself and the second one for another person.
