ISTANBUL - Saudi Arabia welcomes Turkey's efforts to support Palestine and to find a fair solution to Arabian-Israeli clash, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al-saud of Saudi Arabia said on Wednesday.
Speaking at the dinner which was hosted in his honor by Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul, King Abdullah said that Saudi Arabia is aware of Turkey's strategical location between western and eastern worlds. He appreciated Turkey's role in dialogue among civilizations.
King Abdullah said that it is necessary to appreciate Turkey's efforts to support Palestine and to find a fair solution to Arabian-Israeli clash. He also appreciated Turkey's influential role in the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).
Noting that Lebanon is sister country for Saudi Arabia too, King Abdullah said that problems of Arabian countries concern both Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
King Abdullah also invited Premier Erdogan to Saudi Arabia.
