IZMIR - "We plan to cooperate with Turkish entrepreneurs in the areas of construction, oil and tourism," said Imin Abdulvaliyevic Sabirov, chairman of the Department for Organizing Commercial Activities at the Kazakhstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, on Saturday.

Kazakhstan is the guest of honor at the Izmir International Fair.

Sabirov updated Turkish businessmen about the opportunities waiting for them in Kazakhstan at the Kazakhstan stand.

"We pay high attention to trade with Turkey. The current trade volume between our two countries is around 700 million USD. We hope to increase the trade volume to 1 billion USD in 2007. We can cooperate with Turkish businessmen in all areas, except finance and banking," told Sabirov.

Meanwhile, Gurkan Balkanli, Kazakhstan`s Honorary Consul General in Izmir, said that Kazakh businessmen are purchasing large lands in Bodrum and Antalya and plan to be involved in construction and tourism areas.
