HATAY - Turkish archeologists have discovered a 1500 year-old public bath as they dug into a former cornfield in the southeastern province of Hatay, where they also unearthed an ancient tomb last year, excavation team head said Wednesday.
"We have found a public bathing complex and five ancient coins," archeologist Omer Celik, who supervised the excavations, told the AA.
The ancient bathing complex included water heating and resting rooms and canals, Celik said.
"We will try to identify to which period the bathing complex and other artifacts belonged by studying the coins," he added.
