Greek Cypriot Vessel Collides And Sinks A Yacht At Istanbul Strait

ISTANBUL - A Greek Cypriot flagged dry cargo vessel named "Glorious" whose helm was stuck while passing through Istanbul Strait (Bosphorus) crashed into a yacht last night.

The vessel could be able to stop 40 meters offshore, but the yacht sank. The vessel has been pulled offshore by two tugboats of Turkish Directorate-General of Coastal Safety.

Turkish Maritime Undersecretariat said no pollution and/or casualties were reported.
