Iran Willing To Cooperate With Europe: Ahmadinejad

TEHRAN- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a meeting with Iranian Ambassadors to Western European states here Monday said that Iran is prepared to cooperate with Europe towards promotion of peace, justice and humanitarian goals.

The chief executive underlined that expansion of friendly ties with all countries and nations within the framework of country's beliefs and ideals is one of the major principles of Iran's policy.

"By assessing challenges and problems encountering the world and attempting to tackle them, Iran aims to materialize the prosperity and progress of all nations," he added.

Turning to the interest of world nations in the message voiced by the Iranian nation -- "justice, spirituality and purity are the basic principles,"-- he underlined the high importance of using an active diplomacy to materialize the goals set by Iran's foreign policy.

"Power, dignity and friendship are the major features of the approach of Iranian diplomats in foreign countries," he added.

Before the president's speech, a number of Iranian ambassadors to Western European states expounded on their views on bolstering ties with European countries based on mutual interests.
