ANKARA - Israel lifted the ban on imports of chicken from Turkey that was imposed because of bird flu cases seen last year, said state minister Kursad Tuzmen on Monday.
Tuzmen added that Israeli ban will continue on chicken products and poultry originating from southeastern cities of Diyarbakir and Batman. He said firms that produce poultry and chicken meat in other cities will be able to export their products freely.
The official notice of Israel lifting the ban has been conveyed to Turkish authorities on April 29th.
