BAGHDAD - Two US soldiers died of wounds sustained in combat in Iraq, the military said Monday, raising the total toll this month to 73.
One soldier died on Saturday after being wounded in a combined attack involving a roadside bomb and small arms fire in east Baghdad, the military said in a statement.
Another soldier was killed on Monday in a small arms attack on a convoy, the military said in a separate statement. It was not immediately clear where the attack took place.
At least 3,550 US soldiers have died in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion to topple Saddam Hussein, according to an AFP count based on Pentagon figures.
