Cuban athlete Robles skips Lausanne to focus on Rome
Cuban athlete Dayron Robles, surprise winner of the 110m hurdles at the Golden League meet in Paris last weekend, has pulled out of Tuesday's IAAF Super Grand Prix here.
Robles' coach Ricardo Santiago Antunez wants him to rest before the third leg of the Golden League in Rome on Friday.
The 20-year-old upset Olympic 110m hurdles champion and world record holder Liu Xiang of China at the Paris meet last Friday.
Robles, silver medallist over 60m hurdles at last years world indoor championships, recovered from a false start to win in 13.13.
He has won six of the seven events he has competed in since arriving in Europe at the beginning of June.
