Babacan: Turkey And E.U. Will Benefit From Turkey's E.U. Membership

HELSINKI - Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan said on Monday both Turkey and the EU would benefit from Turkey`s EU membership.
Speaking at a conference organized by Paasikivi community in Helsinki, Babacan said if the country`s EU accession process moved on the right track, a "win-win" situation would appear for both parties. There would be no slowdown in the reform process, he said.
Replying to a question on operations into the north of Iraq, Babacan said the target was not Iraqi people, but terrorist organization. There was need for a sound international cooperation in fight against terrorism, he stated.
