Oil Prices Soar in US
Unrest in the Middle East and North Africa raised worries about oil supplies, and investors bid crude oil prices up to their highest level in more than two years. The cost of a barrel of crude oil gained $2.66 to close at $99.63 per barrel.
The same worries pushed the price of gold to an all-time high of $1,432.57 per ounce.
Coffee prices dropped 2 cents to end the day at $2.69 a pound.
Copper prices rose 1 cent to $4.49 a pound.
Cocoa futures lost $97 to finish at $3,660 per ton.
In Chicago trading, the price of wheat fell 7 cents to close at $8.10 a bushel.
Rice prices fell 4 cents to end at $14.17 a hundredweight.
