UN: Turkey hosts 82,000 Syrians
UN, which has started to issue unofficial numbers, said that Turkey hosted 82.000 Syrian refugees. But according to AFAD Turkey hosts 80,000 Syrian refugees.
Officials from AFAD said that this difference arose from Syrians who entered Turkey with their passports. Besides, Turkey will host an important guest: UN Refugee Chief Antonio Guterres.
He will visit a refugee camp and meet with Turkish officials. Guterres reported to UN Security Council that he opposed to Turkey’s proposal to host refugees in a safe area inside Syria.
