Ankara sends a diplomatic note to Damascus
Developments on Syria border made Turkey to take action. Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stated that Turkey sent a diplomatic note to Syria.
Davutoglu who stated that a report had been sent to both to the UN Security Council and NATO, emphasized that the international community’s silence caused pangs of conscience.
“Assad regime comes first in being responsible for encountered incidents. UN Security Council’s stagnancy comes second. As long as that stagnancy continues Syrian regime will be able to cover its provocations,” said Davutoglu.
He stated that Syrian jets did not violate Turkey’s airspace and said “If our airspace had been violated we would obviously give an answer.”
