Davutoglu holds official contacts in Finland
As part of an official visit to Finland, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Wednesday met with Finland’s President Sauli Niinisto, Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen, Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja and European Affairs Minister Alexander Stubb.
During these meetings, bilateral relations between the two countries, the Mediation for Peace initiative which has been launched by Turkey and Finland, Turkey’s negotiation process with the EU and the Cyprus issue were discussed.
Meanwhile, in response to reporters’ questions on the Syria issue following his meeting with Tuomioja, Davutoglu said that the fall of Syria’s government was “only a matter of time.”
