International community should assume a stance against lies of Assad
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that it was time for the international community to assume a stance against the lies of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Turkey has already assumed this stance, and is expecting the international community to do so, added Davutoglu who spoke at private Kanal 35 tv channel on Monday.
Commenting on recent statements of Assad, Davutoglu said that the recent statements of Assad were not different from the previous ones.
We hoped Assad would realize the situation and perceive the new conjuncture correctly, but Assad did not have any intention to do so, said Davutoglu.
Death toll in Syria increased three times since the recent remarks of Assad, said Davutoglu.
Davutoglu expressed hope that the pain Syrian people were suffering would end and they would reach peace.
