Gul receives Samaras
President Abdullah Gul yesterday received Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and his accompanying delegation at the Tarabya Residence in Istanbul.
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Minister for EU Affairs and chief negotiator Egemen Bagis also attended the meeting which was closed to the press.
A written statement issued by the Presidency of the Turkish Republic indicates that Gul said that Turkish and Greek peoples enjoyed deep-rooted friendship and alliance which could also be seen in the sincerity between the politicians of the two countries.
