Gul and King Abdullah II explore TAI

President Abdullah Gul and Jordan’s King Abdullah II Ibn al-Hussein on Wednesday visited the facilities of the TUSAS-Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) where they were also informed about the HURKUS Basic Trainer Aircraft, the ANKA unmanned aerial vehicle and the ATAK helicopter.

The two leaders also watched a demonstration flight of the ATAK helicopter. During their visit, the two leaders were accompanied by high-ranking officials, including Turkish Defense Ministry Undersecretary Murad Bayar, Board Chairman of Turkish Aerospace Industries Yalcin Kaya and Director General of the defense company Muharrem Dortkasli.

ERDOGAN MEETS JORDANIAN KING

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Jordan’s King Abdullah II Ibn al-Hussein met over a luncheon at the Prime Ministry’s official residence on Wednesday.

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputy leader Mevlut Cavusoglu and AKP deputy from Ankara Yalcin Akdogan also attended the one-hour meeting.
