Freed public servants and their families arrive in Diyarbakir

Three of Turkish public servants freed by terrorist organization PKK were sent to Ankara and one other to Istanbul in separate airplanes while four others went to Sanliurfa, Mardin and Gaziantep provinces by road.

All of the public servants and their family members earlier in the day arrived at the Diyarbakir Airport after being taken from the Habur Border Gate by three separate helicopters.

EU Commission welcomes the development

On the other hand, European Union (EU) welcomed terrorist organization PKK's freeing of eight Turkish civil servants.

Spokesperson for the EU Commissioner in charge of Enlargement Stefan Fule, Peter Stano underlined that they welcomed the freeing of the Turkish civil servants and extended full support to the process of solution aimed at ending terror acts in Turkey.
