Turkish Night at NBA
A Turkish Night event took place at the half-time of the basketball match between Turkish national basketball team player Ersan Ilyasova's National Basketball Association (NBA) team Milwaukee Bucks and Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
"Kolbasti", a special art of Turkish folk dances that originates from the northern Black Sea Region and other Turkish folk dances were performed at the half-time of the event. The event was organized together by The American Turkish Association of Washington, DC (ATA-DC) and the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center.
The fast dances were enjoyed by Americans who cheered enthusiasticaly. Turks who live in the US were also among the spectators who cheered Ilyasova, the Turkish player.
