Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour rocks Istanbul
"Michael Jackson the Immortal World Tour" by Canadian group Cirque Du Soleil met the audience at Ulker Sports Arena in Istanbul on Friday.
The show, scripted and directed by one of the most famous performing arts directors, Jamie King, charmed the audience with the musical and dance feast by exciting visual and artistic performances.
Tara Young, art director of the show, stated that 49 artists from 17 countries acted in the show and five of the musicians have worked with Michael Jackson for over 30 years.
Young said, "this makes our show reliable and authentic. There is only one Michael Jackson in the world. We are not imitating him, we want to glorify his memory and continue his heritage."
The show will also take place on March 16 and 17.
Cirque Du Soleil, centred in Montreal, was established in 1984. The group consisting of 20 street artists at the beginning, makes shows with over 1,200 artists from over 50 countries today. Cirque Du Soleil has reached over 100 million people in 300 cities with 90 productions.
