Ozel and Kilicdaroglu issue separate messages on martyrs’ day
In a message, Chief of General Staff Gen. Necdet Ozel said that our martyrs who have made our homeland invaluable and holy were the immortal heroes of our existence as a nation, as well as our unity and solidarity and love for our land.
Furthermore, main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu said in his message that the Dardanelles showed that we could not achieve this homeland so easily.
“Today is a holy day in which our martyrs and veterans are who have defended our homeland at the risk of their lives and blood are commemorated with respect, love and gratefulness, regardless of their religion, language, ethnicity or faith,” Kilicdaroglu added.
