Turkish President receives Schmid
Turkish President Abdullah Gul said on Monday that Turkey had desire to advance relations with Baden Wurttemberg state of Germany especially in the fields of science and technology.
According to information taken from Turkish presidency's website, Gul received Nils Schmid, the Deputy Prime Minister, Economy and Finance Minister of Baden Wurttemberg state of Germany, and an accompanying delegation at the presidential Cankaya Palace in Ankara.
Gul stated that he was happy to advance relations with Baden Wurttemberg state of Germany and added that the state had a dynamic economic structure and its trade volume with Turkey was noted 4.5 billion Euro in 2012.
Furthermore, regarding the apartment fire in Baden Wurttemberg on March 10 which caused death of 8 Turkish citizens, Gul expressed belief that the investigation about the fire would run punctiliously by the state authorities.
Moreover, Nils Schmid said that Turkish population was high in the state and that he saw Turkey as his second home country.
Schmid added that the investigation on the fire case continued in detail.
