Hariri led group nominates Salam as PM
14 March Movement, the Lebanese opposition group has nominated Tammam Salam as Prime Minister.
After the meeting at Saad Hariri's house in Beirut, main opposition party Mustaqbal's leader Fouad Seniora announced the decision which was taken unanonimously.
Lebanon has no government since 22 March when Prime Minister Najib Mikati resigned due to the disagreements over new election law.
Temmam Saeb Sellam is the son of Saeb Salam who was prime minister many times between 1952-1973. Tamam Salam was born in 1945 and was first elected as member of parliament in 1996. He was the Culture Minister in 2008.
