Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu defied EP resolution over Gezi Park protests in Turkey
ANKARA - "Once European Parliament notified Turkey about their resolution on the country, Turkey would send it back immediately," Turkey`s Foreign Minister Davutoglu said of a non-binding resolution the European Parliament adopted Thursday over Gezi Park protests that expressed concern over “the disproportionate and excessive use of force” by Turkish police.
Minister Davutoglu underlined that the decision of the European parliament on Turkey was unacceptable.
"Turkey does not have to learn a lesson from a country or a group of countries," stressed Davutoglu.
Turkish foreign minister highlighted that the EP decision was a clear example of double standards.
