Bomb threats for five THY planes a hoax
ISTANBUL - Bomb threats for five Turkish Airlines (THY) airplanes which were about to take off from Istanbul to land in various cities in Germany was a hoax, as a result of a research that was carried out on Wednesday.
Due to fake bomb warnings for five THY airplanes which were about to take off from Istanbul to land in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Munich, a research was carried out on Wednesday.
After a four-hour investigation on the bomb warnings, the police could not find any facts about bombs in the five airplanes while the passengers were kept waiting.
Passengers who were being dropped off from airplanes after hoax bomb calls were taken to hotels or kept waiting in the airport.
After the cancellations due to hoax bomb warnings, the flights from Turkey to Germany will take place on Thursday 4 a.m.
