ANKARA - Chairman of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Rifat Hisarciklioglu said on Monday that democratization package would support settlement of the democratic culture in Turkey.
Referring to the democratization package announced by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan, Hisarciklioglu said, "Democratization package to institutionalize Turkish democracy."
Hisarciklioglu stressed that the democratization package was an important step to cover the areas, which were needed and demanded by public.
Hisarciklioglu said that democratization package should be completed with a new constitution, adding, "in this way, the corporate infrastructure of democratization package will be completed."
Meanwhile, Constitution Conciliation Commission of Turkish Parliament is still working on new constitution. Turkish PM Erdogan said that commission had consensus over 59 amendments of the new constitution. "However, we could not discuss them in the general assembly (of Turkish Parliament)," said Erdogan.
