Gul, Afghanistan`s President Karzai, Pakistan’s PM Sharif and Turkey’s PM Erdogan held quadruple meeting early Thursday.

ANKARA - The 8th Turkey-Afghanistan-Pakistan Trilateral Summit hosted by Turkish President Abdullah Gul starts Thursday in Turkish capital Ankara.

Gul met with Afghanistan`s President Hamid Karzai early Thursday while Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. After the separate morning meetings, Turkey`s President Abdullah Gul, Afghanistan`s President Hamid Karzai, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Turkey’s PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a quadruple meeting at Cankaya Presidential Palace.

After the quadruple meeting, Turkish president also hosted a banquet on Thursday in honor of his foreign guests on the sidelines of the trilateral summit.

Turkey`s Chief of Staff Necdet Ozel, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Interior Minister Efkan Ala and head of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), Hakan Fidan also attended the banquet along with ministers and high level officials in Afghan and Pakistani delegations.
