Turkish FM called Algerian counterpart to express condolences to the families who lost their relatives in the crash.
ANKARA - Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Thursday expressed condolences to his Algerian counterpart for the families of the 77 victims of a plane crash in eastern Algeria.
Diplomatic sources said Davutoglu called Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra to express his condolences to the families who lost their relatives when an Algerian military plane crashed into mountain in the eastern province of Oum El Bouaghi, leaving only one survivor, on Tuesday.
Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika immediately declared a three-day mourning period to honor the victims of the plane crash.
