RAMALLAH - Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas held talks over phone on Thursday with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Palestinian developments and the Middle East peace process.

The talks also focused on bilateral relations and means of pushing them forward, according to the official Wafa news agency.

The Turkish leaders, for their part, underlined Turkey`s full support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) as its capital.
