TUNIS - At least four Tunisians, including three policemen, were killed in the early hours of Sunday in what the country's Interior Ministry described as a "terrorist" attack.

The ministry, in a statement, said security forces in the northwesters Bulla Regia town had received reports of gunmen robbing people at gunpoint in the town.

It added that when a security patrol arrived to the place, it came under immediate heavily fire, leaving two security personnel dead and another injured.

"The terrorists later killed a prison guard and a citizen and injured two others," the statement said, without elaborating.
