LUXOR, Egypt - Turkish taekwondo fighter Hatice Kubra Yangin won a gold medal in an international taekwondo tournament held in Egypt's Luxor by defeating her Croatian opponent on Tuesday.

Yangin, who broke into tears while she was receiving her medal, said that she dedicated her medal to a young Turkish taekwondo fighter, Seyithan Akbalik, who died from a heart attack during the competition two days ago.
