TEHRAN, Iran - It is a legal right to use nuclear power with peaceful aims, according to Turkey`s Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek.

Cicek adding that "Turkey thinks that Iran`s nuclear pursuits should not turn into weapons. On this issue, Turkey has been on the side of Iran during its hard times."

I hope Iran will not ignore Turkey`s attitude, he added.

During the 9th session of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Wednesday, Cicek said that the conference, where 52 Islamic countries attended, has a great importance for Turkey where a platform is offered for those to develop more sincere cooperation in the Islamic community.

"Before developments in trade, culture, art and sports, the chaos in which the Islamic world now experiences needs to halt. Peace and fraternity should be established," he added
