Turkish President Returns From Turkmenistan

ANKARA - Turkish President Abdullah Gul returned to Turkey on Saturday after his talks in Turkmenistan.

Gul met Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov and Azeri President Ilham Aliyev in capital Bishkek.

Speaking to reporters before leaving Turkmenistan, Gul said his talks with Turkmen and Azeri leaders aimed at improving further relations and cooperation between the three countries.

"This should set an example for other countries of the Turkic world. Today, we are re-discovering how close we really are," Gul said.

Gul said his talks with the two leaders included economic, cultural, political relations as well as issues regarding cooperation in energy.
