ANKARA - Turkey has welcomed Denmark`s Court of Appeal`s order that will cancel the broadcasting license of Kurdish-language television station ROJ TV, and its parent company Mezopotamya Publishing, on accounts of inciting terrorism.
The court found ROJ TV and its parent company guilty of inflaming terrorism and ordered them to halt broadcasts, after nearly doubling their fines on July 2013.
The ROJ TV station was also accused by the Danish court of having links to outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
Turkey’s foreign ministry claims that "Denmark`s Court of Appeal`s order proves that the PKK is a terrorist organization and they are financed by the ROJ TV, which incites terrorism".
