Turkey condemns Somali blast

MOGADISHU – Turkey condemned the blast in the Somalian capital Mogadishu on Thursday, which killed at least nine people.
A car-bomb exploded outside a restaurant located near the headquarters of the Interior Ministry`s counter-terrorism forces, leaving the driver and at least eight others dead.
Authorities blamed the Al-Shabaab militant group for the blast.
Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said in a written statement that Turkey strongly condemns any act of violence targeting Somalia`s peace and security.
"We extend our condolences to the families of the victims and a quick recovery to the wounded," the ministry added.
