Violence in Afghanistan continues, as 13 people were killed after a car bomb exploded outside of Logar province

KABUL – Afghan officials confirm that 13 people have died after a car bomb – targeting Afghan security forces – exploded in a vehicle parked in front of a Taliban member’s house in the Logar province of Afghanistan.

Logar Governor Spokesperson Din Mohammad Darwish said six Pakistani Taliban members; two Afghan Taliban members, three children and two women were killed in the explosion.

In a separate attack, a suicide bomber, targeting the Afghan police, injured seven civilians in the southern Kandahar province. Officials hold the Taliban responsible for the attack.

Kandahar governor said that the Taliban kidnapped 11 civilians in the province for supporting the Afghan government. Operations have been launched for the civilians` release.
