Greece's coastguard opens fire at a Turkish speedboat, wounds 3

ATHENS - Greece's coastguard said it opened fire at a Turkish speedboat near Greek Oinousses Island in the Aegean Sea and wounded three people on the boat.

When the speedboat failed to stop, despite a warning shot fired by the coastguard officers, the officers fired at the bow of the boat in an attempt to stop it, the statement said.

Officers captured 13 illegal migrants aboard the boat, along with a Turkish citizen who they claim is a person trafficker.

Three people aboard, including one woman, who were wounded in the incident were taken to hospital on Chios Island, and reported to be in good condition.
