53 killed by Assad’s forces in Syria

DAMASCUS - Forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad used heavy weapons in their operations against opponents in various cities on Thursday killing 53 people including four children.
In a statement, Syria National Human Rights Watchdog (SNHR) said the regime forces staged air attacks on the opposition controlled areas and killed 25 people in the suburbs of Damascus, 8 in Homs, 7 in Aleppo, 4 in each Deru’z Zor and Dera, 3 in Hama, and 2 in Idlib.
The Local Coordination Committees of Syria (LCC) reported that regime army helicopters dropped several barrel bombs on the Muyesir region of Aleppo, where many buildings were either damaged or demolished.
The regime forces also dropped barrel bombs on the opposition controlled Darayya region of Damascus and as well as Douma, Qabun, Jobar, and Yebrud demolishing many buildings, according to LCC`s statement.
The Statement said that regime forces opened fire on the Yarmouk region of Damascus where fatalities are rising due to insufficient humanitarian aid.
