ANKARA - Turkey`s Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and his Swiss counterpart Didier Burkhalter have discussed the situation in Ukraine.
Burkhalter, who is also the Chairperson of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, said that it is closely monitoring the situation in the region.
He pointed out the importance of the work of the organization’s observer team in Crimea, which includes a Turkish diplomat.
Davutoglu also talked to Mustafa Abdulcemil Kirimoglu, Ukrainian MP and Former Chairman of the Crimean Tatar National Assembly.
Davutoglu stressed that Turkey is interested in the safety of Crimean Tatars in the region.
He also briefed Kirimoglu about Turkey`s latest official visits regarding Ukraine.
