CAIRO – The Arab League decided on Sunday to invited the leader of the Syrian opposition bloc Ahmed Jarba to the upcoming Arab summit, to be hosted by Kuwait on March 25.
Concluding their meeting in Cairo, the Arab foreign ministers said Jarba will brief Arab leaders during the Kuwait summit on the latest developments and the opposition`s view on solving the Syrian crisis.
Jarba, the leader of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, told the Arab League meeting earlier today that the time for diplomacy and peaceful solutions for the Syrian crisis was over.
He also urged Arab countries to designate as terrorist organizations Lebanon`s Shiite Hezbollah group and the militant the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
