Niger president leaves for Turkey

NIAMEY – Nigerien President Mahamadou Issoufou on Monday set out for Turkey for a days-long visit.
Issoufou was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Foreign Minister Mohamed Bazoum and Planning Minister Amadou Boubacar Cisse, according to Niger`s official news agency.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had visited Niger in January of last year.
Trade exchanges between Niger and Turkey have increased in recent years.
