Turkey asks Caribbean countries for support in its application for membership to the U.N. Security Council in 2015.
ST. VINCENT AND GRENADINES – Turkey’s Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu calls on Caribbean countries to support Turkey’s appointment to membership of the UN Security Council in 2015.
Davutoglu said Turkey offers important contributions to global peace and security in a period where regional and international governments experience changes quickly.
Speaking at the Caribbean CARICOM summit held in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Davutoglu said Turkey has put efforts into helping provide comprehensive and lasting solutions to global issues during its previous UN Security Council memberships.
