Ministers stress Ukraine's territorial integrity

ANKARA – Turkey’s Foreign Minister took part in a teleconference on Thursday with senior international diplomats over the Ukraine crisis.

Ahmet Davutoglu spoke with American, French, Swiss, Italian, Canadian and Polish counterparts as well as U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and EU High Representative Catherine Ashton, according to Turkish foreign ministry officials.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry was among the figures who discussed Ukraine with Davutoglu, Ban and Ashton, underlining the seriousness of the situation in Crimea.

Stressing the importance of protecting the territorial integrity and political unity of Ukraine, the ministers said that all peaceful means should be used to reduce tension in the region. 

Davutoglu informed the ministers about his latest talks via the teleconference.
