BATMAN - Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a local election rally in the southeastern city of Batman, reiterated his committment to completing the Kurdish peace process initiated by his party.
"The solution process was welcomed across Turkey and we, the AK Party government, are on it; we will proceed whatever the cost is," said PM Erdogan.
He said that reconciliation of all segments of Turkish society was a project which the AK Party had accomplished.
"Women wearing headscarves were unable to access university education and public services, but our government removed the ban on headscarf enabling female deputies to enter parliament wearing their headscarves," said Erdogan.
Erdogan slammed the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP), which won the previous local election in Batman and stated that BDP is against the solution process because "the solution process removed their instruments of exploitation, youth is not killed in terrorism-related events any more," added Erdogan.
