BENGHAZI, Libya – Two Libyan workers were reportedly abducted Monday in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi, eyewitnesses said.
The two workers were taken hostage at gunpoint in Sidi Younis district by four gunmen on a 4x4 vehicle, according to the witnesses.
Egyptian authorities have yet to comment on the alleged abduction.
In February, seven Egyptian Christians had been killed by militants in western Benghazi.
Libya has been struggling to restore order more than two years after the ouster of late strongman Muammar Gaddafi.
