Vessel carrying eight people sailing for the island of Kos goes down near Bodrum
MUGLA - Four people have died and one is missing after a smuggler’s ship sank in the Aegean Sea off of the Turkish town of Bodrum, officials said.
The ship was carrying eight people who were trying to reach the Greek island of Kos, sources said on Tuesday.
Coast guards saved three after they were alerted by fishermen and brought them and the bodies to the Bodrum Milta Marina.
The survivors were given medical treatment in Bodrum hospitals.
Search and rescue operations are continuing for the missing person.
