ADDIS ABABA – The second edition of the Colors of the Nile International Film Festival will kick off Monday in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, featuring some of the best African films.
The weeklong festival is organized by the Blue Nile Film and Television Academy in collaboration with the Ethiopian Filmmakers Association.
At least 48 titles from different countries across the continent will be screened at the National Theatre in Addis Ababa.
The 1st edition of the festival was held in November 2012. It was hailed for giving a new voice to young and talented African filmmakers and bringing forward a new perspective of Africa to the world.
"In the eyes of African filmmakers, audiences as well as leading film industry media across the world, the inaugural edition of Colors of the Nile International Film Festival (CONIFF) was an overwhelming success," the organizers said in a statement.
