CAIRO – Egypt's state television on Thursday broadcast a video showing former army chief and potential presidential candidate Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi visiting the premises of his election campaign.

The video showed al-Sisi in a black civilian suit and shaking hands with some people who are apparently members of the campaign.

Al-Sisi discussed with his electoral campaign members issues related to his presidential bid as well as his electoral platform, according to state television.

Meanwhile, some sources said that ex- foreign minister and former presidential candidate Amr Moussa, who headed the constitution-amending committee following the ouster of elected president Mohamed Morsi, will be the head of al-Sisi's presidential campaign, along with 18 advisers.

Al-Sisi announced on Wednesday that he had submitted his resignation as defense minister and intends to run for president in Egypt's first post-Morsi presidential elections.

The independent election commission is expected to announce the date of the elections on Sunday.
