Football: Besiktas' Portuguese midfielder to leave club

ISTANBUL - Besiktas' Portuguese midfielder Manuel Fernandes is to leave the club when his contract expires this summer, the Istanbulite club's Vice President Deniz Atalay has said.
Since being moved during mid-transfer season in 2011 from the Spanish La Liga side Valencia central midfielder Fernandes scored 20 goals in 112 matches for Besiktas.
The white-blacks' 28-year-old powerhouse has been linked to Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow, and his ex-club Benfica, where he had come through the Portuguese club's youth academy.
