ALEXANDRIA – An Egyptian court on Saturday sentenced two people to death for throwing opponents of ousted president Mohamed Morsi from a building's rooftop.

A young boy had died last July when he was thrown from a building's rooftop in the coastal city of Alexandria by supporters of the ousted president.

The court, meanwhile, set May 5 as a date for delivering the verdict in the trial of other 63 defendants in the same case.

The defendants face multiple charges, including murder, thuggery and joining a banned group – in reference to the Muslim Brotherhood, from which Morsi hails.
